Born and raised in New Zealand, I moved to the UK in 1996 and have been living in the beautiful Galloway Forest Park in Scotland since 2003.
I suppose my love of creating textile products, was influenced by my Mum, who was a seamstress up until retiring a few years ago. My Husband just about tolerates my obsession with textiles! And now my young son helps me with my work - measuring and offering advice, and he loves to see the finished products, especially the furniture!
I really dislike overpriced, poor quality goods and believe you shouldn't have to pay an 'arm and a leg' for bulk manufactured goods that may only last two weeks. My idea is that by offering bespoke production, I can give my clients a fairly priced service, where care and attention is put in to each item, allowing the customer a larger choice in variation, as if there's one thing I've learnt 'it would be a boring world if everyone liked the same things'.​
